at Winery Maurizi Controguerra (TE)

Imagine a summer evening, having a dinner under the shooting stars.

A social table among the vineyard rows.

Vineyard wines, born from the vision of a young -but already experienced- winemaker.

A master ice cream maker, that, from his laboratory at the foot of Gran Sasso, selects excellent local raw materials and transform them into gourmet ice creams you wouldn’t expect.

A designer and a watercolor puzzle dismantled among the vineyard rows.

And a ‘cacio e ovo’ to remember: traditional recipe or ice cream?

To the participants the arduous judgment.

For organizational issues, it is necessary to purchase the ticket in advance. Tickets will be available for purchase up to two days before the experience.

Cost of the experience 70 euros.

The Maurizi family has been working in the world of wine for more than 50 years, and with the 2016 vintage they are realizing a dream: three generations united by one goal, the cultivation of vines, the production of wine and other products of the Earth, such as oil and wheat.

This is how Maurizi Farm was born, which currently cultivates nearly 10 hectares of vineyards, owned and managed, in the Controguerra countryside, where the influence of the sea and the mountains create a unique microclimate.

In the winery, modern and ancient winemaking practices coexist thanks to Giuliano and Morgan Maurizi, who are always ready to interpret old and new knowledge, starting from a fundamental concept: “wine is made in the vineyard.”

A draftsman and graphic designer, he lives and works in Teramo.

In love with landscape and nature, he paints predominantly using the techniques of watercolor and inks, of which he appreciates the spontaneity, quickness and unexpected, uncontrollable and always possible error in watercolor that, at times, allows one to find a surprising escape. His works, which you will be able to admire during the experience, certainly tell a better story about him.

Eugenio and Ambra, husband and wife of the fourth generation of Merlini pastry chefs, are the soul of Merlini Lab. In their highland lab, located at the foot of the Gran Sasso mountain, they passionately make exceptional artisanal ice creams, traditional Panettone and Colomba, pastries and chocolate.
